Steve Sylvester

Member of the board

For someone actually born in West Palm Beach and who has chosen to remain in the area to raise his two children, the south end is as close to a hometown neighborhood as you can get, according to Steve Sylvester. Steve holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Boston University and is Associate Professor of Health and Human Performance at Palm Beach Atlantic University. He is the past owner of In-Town Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation for over 22 years. Steve has served on several local organizations from the American Red cross. American Lung Association, Arthritis Foundation, to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, where he assisted in coaching and injury prevention clinics for their Team in Training Program for many years. He is also a past president of the Rotary Club of Palm Beach. Steve has completed over 16 marathons. Over the course of that time, his feet have pounded thousands of miles on our city streets. It is during those countless hours that he has developed a true appreciation for the uniqueness and beauty of this place that we all call home. Now everyone in West Palm Beach can see Dr. Steve Sylvester running. He is now an official candidate “running” for the West Palm Beach City Commission! SENA is proud to have someone so dedicated with deep community roots, serving as our legislative liaison to the City of WPB.
