At the April SENA Board meeting, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Bach County presented their plan to use land within Dreher Park to construct a news Boys & Girls Club building. Following the presentation, the SENA board voted unanimously to oppose the use of land at Dreher Park for a building to house a new Boys & Girls Club facility. Comments from the SENA board surrounded not wanting to forever lose valuable park space in the City; restricted availability and use of the Boys & Girls Club as a general public facility; and the desire to build upon the current cultural and educational potential of Dreher Park, by adding and attracting additional cultural opportunities and uses.
Please take a moment to provide SENA with your opinion of whether or not the City should allow the Boys & Girls Club to build a facility within Dreher Park.

Surprising Results From The SENA Survey!
Following the announcement by our City commission to award the development of the long-awaited vacant parcel at 8111 S. Dixie Hwy. to Flagler Development, SENA was interested in knowing which grocer residents in the southend would favor most, since bringing in a new grocery store was the centerpiece of Flagler Development’s proposal.
Over 300 people participated in the survey that resulted in a bit of her surprise. Trader Joe’s was the favorite of nearly half the respondents, followed by Whole Foods.
Here are the results:
43% – Trader Joes
25% – Whole Foods
14% – Fresh Market
10% – Publix
7% – Carmines
Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond. The results are being passed along to the City and Flagler Development. Fingers crossed!!
