Gentle Reminders:  

  1. If a neighbor is away….Remove neighbor’s newspaper or other items thrown onto their driveway.  

  2. Place neighbor’s packages that were left at the door out of sight if possible…. 

KEEP SAFE: 

  1. Cut back hedges that obscure windows. 

  2. Consider a sprinkling of lights in your home when away. 

  3. Consider soft lighting at side of home leading to rear.  

  4. Neighbors should remove from their neighbor’s door any Door-Hanger advertisements. (it is a signal to perpetrators that no one is home).    

  5. If a neighbor’s trash containers or recycling bins remain at the curb all day, consider taking them up to side of home. It’s a signal that the home is not occupied. 

  6. Please take note of any suspicious activity along Dixie Highway.

  1. Do not allow gardeners to place cuttings in front of the fire hydrants

  2. Check storm drains on your block to be certain that there is no build up of debris covering grates. 

  3. Have necessary supplies in advance: water, batteries, flashlight,  etc.

  4. Do NOT place landscape cuttings at curb if storm approaching.
